BETA CLUB Sponsor: Cathy Jones

The focus of the PSMS Beta Club is to become involved in school, community, national, and international needs. Our motto is Lead by Serving Others. Beta responsibilities include: Maintain a 4.0 "A" average, teacher recommendations, attend all meetings, and earn ten service hours.


The general purpose of the Student Government Association is to provide a forum for student expression, to inform students and faculty, to promote good relationships between the students and faculty, to better the welfare of the school, to assist in the planning student activities, to promote community service, to promote school spirit and good citizenship, and to provide leadership for the student body. The Prescott South Middle STUCCO consists of an executive board and representatives.The executive board is made up of a President, Vice-President, and Secretary from the 7th and 8th grades.These students are elected in the spring for the upcoming year. After school has been in session for a month, each grade will elect student representatives.The STUCCO meets regularly on Friday afternoons.

NEWSPAPER CLUB Sponsor: Stacey Cagle

This group of 6th and 7th graders, with the assistance of the 8th grade yearbook staff, takes photos and writes stories about exciting middle school happenings for the Prescott Press, a periodic school newsletter.

YEARBOOK Sponsor: Cathy Jones

Yearbook is open to all grade levels. Meetings are held generally on Wednesdays and are based on need. Students help decide theme, pick the cover, write topics for spreads, take photos for spreads, and help identify students.Most work is done on the yearbook in the first semester.

Student-Led Organizations

Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets every Thursday morning in the Little Theater at 7:00 a.m. FCA is open to any boy or girl at Prescott South Middle School, whether or not they participate on one of the school athletic teams.
